Nanyuki High School Location
The school is located in Nanyuki town, Laikipia East Constituency, in Laikipia County. Nanyuki High School started in 1964 as a British Army hostel for their children. It was officially opened to the public in 1965 as a three-streamed day and boarding school.
Currently, it is the only Boy’s national school in Laikipia.
Nanyuki High School amenities
The school has 20 classrooms, 6 Dormitories(3 high rise) ultra-modern administration block, Aviation Workshop, Wood Workshop, 3 Science Laboratories, and a computer laboratory.
It has a 200- capacity ultra-modern library which was funded by the Ministry of Education (MOE) at a cost of 10 Million Kenyan Shillings.
The school has a very vibrant BOM which achieved the purchase of a modern 67-seater Scania bus worth 14million.
The school sits on a 53-acre land. By this, it has an enabling space for co-curricular activities such as games including:

Nanyuki High School Principal
Mr Oliver Munishi HSC is the Nanyuki High School’s principal. He is well known giant in the drama arena for many years. He is a Physics and Mathematics teacher.
He was principal for Kakamega High School before he came to Nanyuki High. He served the school for two decades making the school Drama Masters. He is also a strong writer and playwriter. His contribution to Nanyuki High school has made it top nationally at the drama and music festivals.
